Career History

Education & Early Career

Mr. Goulamhoussen, who has a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Montreal’s McGill University, began his career in the world of finance in July 2004 as an Investment Advisor at TD Bank Financial Group, moving to ALS International, Hong Kong, in March 2010, where he took on the role of Banking and Finance Consultant.

Beginnings at RBC Dominion Securities

In February 2011, Mr. Goulamhoussen accepted the position of Investment Advisor at RBC Dominion Securities, Toronto, becoming an Associate Portfolio Manager within the same firm in July 2013 and a Portfolio Manager and Wealth Advisor in July 2015. Here, he worked with corporate and institutional clients, high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families, and family offices. As well as advising on investments, he was responsible for all decisions relating to portfolio management. One of the highlights of Mr. Goulamhoussen’s time at RBC was his attainment of “President’s Club” status, which he was awarded due to being consistently ranked as one of the firm’s top advisors.

BMO Nesbitt Burns

In October 2016, Mr. Goulamhoussen moved to BMO Nesbitt Burns, Toronto, as Vice President and Portfolio Manager. In this role his focus was on discretionary investment management; he was the key individual for all portfolio management decisions, trading, advice, and research. As with the majority of his roles within the finance sector, he was required to stay on top of market outlooks and research trends, generate ideas, and actively monitor models and screens.

Return to RBC Dominion Securities

In July 2020, Mr. Goulamhoussen returned to RBC Dominion Securities in the capacity of Portfolio Manager and Wealth Advisor. As in his previous roles, this involved providing a full investment management service for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families, family offices, and corporate clients, with a focus on discretionary investment management.
